In the uppermost part of the People's Republic of China’s map there is a strip crossing from the north-east to the north-west. This strip appears like a powerful eagle spreading its wings sheltering the borders of the country. It also looks like a strong stallion raising its head galloping at the frontier of the homeland. That region is the vast, beautiful and rich Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
Speaking of its vastness, it might be hard to believe, the distance between its east and west is more than 2400 km. When the sun at the eastern end of it start rising, its western end will be falling in sweet dreams. Its North-South line spans for more than 1700 km. When the spring at the southern end sends its warmness and the fragrant grass grows everywhere, the north end will still be covered by a white layer of snow. Speaking of its beauty, if you didn't taste the beauty of its scenery yourself then it is very hard for anyone to imagine. Apart from that magnificent Great hill the Helan Mountain or the surging water of the Yellow River. Also not mentioning the vast gray immense forest or the moist covered extended lakes and the vast spectacular desert, just look at the boundless grasslands; it is enough to make you sigh endlessly. It is unforgettable. If you came to these grasslands in the summer, unfolded before your eyes will be a flowing green open scene.
The ground is green, the small stream is green, the fine lines of the hills are also green, everything in the horizon is green. That whole green land is also occasionally dotted with brilliant wild flowers making the plains more fascinating and charming. The movement of the horse herds and sheep cattle in the area and the voices of the shepherds singing heard from distance has also added to this beautiful picture an infinite vitality. Looking towards the sky how blue, how lofty, the earth how green, how magnificent; exposed to such a place, how can someone not to be reveled in, how can someone not to be relaxed and joyous?
Inner Mongolia have China's second largest plateau. Hinggan Mountain chain in the east. Alxa Desert in the west. Adjacent to eight provinces and autonomous regions, bordering Russia and Mongolia. In this vast land there are dense forests, lush pastures, fertile farmlands, broad water surfaces, a large number of wild animals and plants and endless treasures under the ground.
